Roadside highway Rest Area: Alberta / British Columbia, Visitor information Center. This is a large information centre with washrooms and more. South side of highway. Access to the Community of Field, B.C. Services, fuel south side of highway Jan 2006. Field was a locomotive depot when the Canadian Pacific Railway was built. The pusher engines helped trains get over Field Hill and Big Hill. Attractions in and around Field: Takakkaw Falls - Burgess shale - Natural Bridge - Kicking Horse River - Spiral Tunnels.
