Junction of Old US Hwy 49W, MS
West to Jackson Site. It is an archaeological site having two prehistoric earthwork mounds. The mounds are the remnants of a complex regional trade center that originated and was inhabited from 2000-600 BCE. Although no excavation has been done on the mounds, scholars believe they were constructed and used during the Mississippian culture period (1100 CE-1500 CE) because of the distinctive pottery shards found in the area.
