Dalton Highway
Beginning of the Dalton Highway to the Yukon River, Arctic Circle, Coldfoot, Prudhoe Bay. Confusing intersection...the Historic Elliot Highway turns to the left and the Dalton Highway continues forward as an extension as the modern pipeline supply 'haul road'. The Elliot Highway now becomes less maintained, narrower and no longer has 'haul road' truck traffic. A scenic drive now begins to the higher country above Minto Flats Refuge.

Tolovana Hot Springs Trailhead
To the east (on the right ) rises Tolovana Dome beyond a valley divide. No sign marks the flagged trail. Contact Tolovana Hot Springs for complete information and trail conditions. A good but rugged trail, very Alaskan, great variety of terrain and views. Hot springs and cabins are worth the trek. Prices vary with size, season,day, $50-$150.
