Flora, Oregon (3 miles) and Troy, Oregon (16 miles) were once thriving communities in Wallowa, Oregon County. They are still sparsely inhabited and many picturesque old buildings stand. Check out the Flora Schoolhouse, a classic building on the National Register of Historic Places. It is possible to take the Flora Road down to Troy, then follow the road along the Grande Ronde River to Boggan's Oasis in Washington, where'll you'll pick up your northward route once again. |
