Blueberry Barrens |
This is the start of miles upon miles of wild Blueberry Barrens. This is Washington County - the Sunrise County - and also the wild Bluleberry Capital of the world. The barrens are gorgeous - filled with huge granite boulders . The barren owners 'fire off' 25 % of the barrens each year, in the belief that the blueberry harvest the following year will be that much better. |
