    		 Mile by mile staff stopped to take this picture of the moose sign. The photographer walked back from the vehicle, while taking the photo there was a 'crunch crunch' and out of the bush walked the moose below. The 100 meter dash uphill was broken that day. This was so funny we thought we would share it with you.

    		 Continuing North on the Viking Trail towards St. Anthony, NL you will pass through Gros Morne NL National Park. Continuing north towards St. Anthony, NL, you pass by Port Saunders, NL. Here you can take a short 15 km detour towards Port au Choix NL, National Historic Site. From Port Saunders, NL, continue on the Viking Trail to the junction with route 436, about 20 km before St. Anthony, NL. Follow route 436 for 30 km to L'Anse aux Meadows, NL, National Historic Site. At the tip of the Great Northern Peninsula of the island of Newfoundland, the remains of an 11th-century Viking settlement are evidence of the first European presence in North America.
