National Forest Visitor Informaiton Center. Big Bend National Park, is one of the largest and least visited of America's national parks. Over 801,000 acres. Chisos Basin Campground has 63 campsites, picnic tables, flush toilets, grills, and running water. No hookups. Cottonwood Campground has 31 campsites, grills, pit toilets, water, and picnic tables. There are no hookups and dump station. Generators are not allowed. Altitude 1,900 feet. Rio Grande Village Campground is a 100-site campground with some overhead shelters, flush toilets, picnic tables, grills, running water and a nearby dump station. No hookups available. Elevation 1,850 feet. Rio Grande Village RV Park has 25 sites and is the only park campground with hookups. Boating, Fishing, Kayaking, Whitewater Rafting: The Rio Grande, or El Rio Bravo del Norte, borders Big Bend National Park for 118 miles. |
