Junction of Interstate Highway #8. East to city of Yuma, Arizona - 13 miles. Yuma Arizona is located at the point where the Gila and Colorado Rivers converge. Attractions: YUMA CROSSING STATE HISTORIC PARK. In 1865, Congress authorized the establishment of The Quartermaster Depot. It served all of the Southwest as a storage and distribution point for troops in the Arizona Territory outposts.
- CENTURY HOUSE MUSEUM. Century House is one of Yuma's oldest and most historic buildings. - ST. THOMAS MISSION was constructed on the original Mission grounds. It was founded by Father Garces in 1780. Other Yuma Attractions: Adair Park, Center of the World, Cocopah Museum, Colorado King I Paddleboat, Imperial Date Gardens, Imperial National Wildlife Refuge, Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, The Peanut Patch, Picacho State Recreation Area, Yuma Proving Ground Heritage Center, Yuma Landing, Yuma River Tours, Yuma Valley Railway.
