Welcome to Cold Lake, AB. Cold Lake is in the transition zone from the Aspen Parkland region to the Boreal mixed wood forest. The area surrounding the city consists mostly of farmland. The Canadian Forces Cold Lake Air Weapons Range is located to the north of the city. Cold Lake is also home to the Cold Lake Air Cadet Summer Training Centre.
