East to the community of Big Fork, east to Wayfarer State Park Campground. Located near the quaint resort town of Bigfork on the northeast shore of Flathead Lake, this park is 67 acres in size and is 2,900 feet in elevation. A mature mixed forest makes this site very pleasant for camping and picnicking. From spring to late fall the area abounds in wildflowers. Nature walks over the rocky shoreline to the cliffs are popular with photographers for the excellent view of Flathead Lake. Camping is limited to 7 days during a 30 day period and no RV/trailer is allowed over 50 feet in length. There are 30 sites on the park, 7 of which are for tents only. Please limit your stay to 7 days. |

East side of highway. Spectacular views of the lakeshore and the Swan and Mission mountains can be seen from scenic overlooks. Rock outcrops carved by glaciers thousands of years ago rise from Flathead Lake. Flathead State Park is the most private park on Flathead Lake and is notable for its mature fir, pine, and larch forest. There are a lot of rocks on the beach, but is still suitable for swimming, boating, and camping. There are 20 tent sites, 26 trailer sites. |

Trails lead into the surrounding area which abound in wildflowers and wildlife. You can also fish, swim, and camp.

East side of highway. On Flathead Lake's Big Arm Bay, this park is a popular jump-off point to Wild Horse Island. Big Arm's long pebble beach is popular with sunbathers and swimmers. Camping under a stand of mature ponderosa pine and juniper is a major attraction. RV/trailer size is limited to 30 feet in the 29 sites. There are also 6 tent sites available. |

North to Yellow Bay State Park. Yellow Bay is situated at the center of the famous Montana sweet cherry orchards. In the spring, cherry blossoms add color the hillsides. In the summer, travelers can purchase cherries from nearby roadside stands or U-Pick orchards. Yellow Bay Creek and a wide, gravelly beach are part of the state park. Attractions in the park are bird watching, scuba diving, boating, swimming, waterskiing, camping, and lake trout fishing. The park consists of 10 acres at a height of 2,973 feet. There are 4 tent sites and 1 RV site with a 30-foot limit, flush and vault toilets. |
